Carmel O’Keeffe is an Accredited Executive Life and Business Coach with over 20 years’ experience supporting individuals and business owners to make key life and career decisions that enable fulfilment and growth. She holds a BA in Economics and a Diploma in Education from UCC, is a trained NLP Practitioner, Career Coach and an accredited, experienced Trainer. She delivers impactful Career and Life Coaching services as well as tailored training in the areas of Interview Skills Training, Professional Development and Communications.
Carmel has been responsible for empowering hundreds of clients to articulate and achieve their career and personal goals through solution-focused coaching. She takes a holistic approach to Coaching and uses clear compassionate and purposeful questions, to support clients to make life-changing transformations. Carmel helps clients recognise the power of empowering choices and guides them in a non-judgemental way to recognise and believe in their own vast potential. Carmel is known for bringing out the very best in her clients and building their confidence to take on any challenge, either in their careers or personal life. She helps create change to achieve the results a client needs to move forward. Above all, Carmel is known for her professionalism, warmth and sense of humour.
Some of her career highlights included success as CEO of her own Education, Design and Retail businesses. She is also the Founder of a well-known not-for-profit organisation Dress for Success Cork, which empowers women to find meaningful employment. She drove the development and expansion of client programmes in DFS Cork such as Career Centre, Professional Women’s Group and Going Places Network. She is an Executive Member of ‘The Who’s Who’ of World Wide Executives, Member of Cork Chamber of Commerce and Network Cork. She received a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for her work with disadvantaged women and was nominated for ‘Women Mean Business’ Social Entrepreneur Award. She won ‘Cork Person of the Month’ in May 2019 for being the driving force behind the Cork branch of ‘Dress for Success’ an international initiative that has helped transform the lives of hundreds of local women.
